Pultrusion Line

A typical pultrusion line consists of six stations:

  • Reinforcement dispensing
  • Resin impregnation
  • Preformer
  • Heated die curing
  • Clump / puller system
  • Cut - Off -Saw
Continuous fiber reinforcement in roving, unit is drawn through a resin bath to be saturated with a specially formulated resin mix. The wet fiber are assembled by forming guides and then pulled through a heated die. Cure of thermosetting resin is initiated by catalyst in the resin mix and heat in the die. The rate of reaction is controlled by heating and cooling zones in the die. The pulled high strength profile is cut to length by a cut-off-saw, ready for use as it leaves the pultrusion line.
